Derrick Brown – Auburn University
Best Fit: Carolina Panthers (5-11) #7 Pick:
Derrick Brown is a force to be reckoned with. The Auburn defensive tackle is one of the highest rated non-quarterbacks in this draft. The Carolina Panthers have let their defensive tackle Dontari Poe hit free agency. As of now, Panthers Ownership have stated that Cam Newton will be their starting quarterback. With a hole in this defensive line they will love to have Brown in this 4-3 Defense. Brown will fall to the No.7 pick. The Auburn defensive lineman placed in the bottom seven in the 40-yard dash, vertical, broad jump, 20-yard shuttle and three-cone (dead last). The Panthers would get their perfect fit here by filling that defensive line whole with an absolutely dominant player. With a line including Gerald Mccoy playing more defensive end, and Kawann Short. It will be a great transition for Derrick Brown to go to Carolina and play in a 5 Technique inside or a Nose Tackle full time. This will let the Panthers create different looks on a defensive line, in a division with Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. This would be the best fit for both Derrick Brown and the Panthers.
Henry Ruggs III – Alabama University
Best Fit: Denver Broncos (7-9) #15 Pick:
Last Year the Denver Bronco’s traded their top wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Drew Lock is their young quarterback of the future and had good chemistry down he line with Cortland Sutton. Drafting Noah Fant in the first round last year. Its time for them to get their weapon to stretch the field. Enter Henry Ruggs III, who tore up the combine last week with his 40 yard dash, vertical and overall lateral movements. His 4.27 speed will help Drew Lock find him all over the field. Ruggs will be the Tyreek Hill of this offense and he will also be able to not just run straight. He can complete any route tree and give this offense the boost it has needed. In a division with the reigning Champions Kansas City. Riggs will need to bring his versatility to become a star in this offense. With Cortland Sutton on the other side Ruggs will likely be against a defenses second best pass covering option. Denver will be the perfect fit for Ruggs III
RB D’Andre Swift, Georgia
Best Fit: Miami Dolphins (10-6 From HOU) #26 Pick:
Miami was dead last in rushing yards, rushing yards per game, and Ryan Fitzpatrick was their leading rusher. I know Miami will either pick a quarterback with their first pick, or use their first two of their three first round picks. Whether or not they trade up I believe that they will use this pick to select Deandre Swift. DeAndre swift had a great combine and the dolphins need a running back. I believe that he would be a better fit for Miami’s offense as he is a downhill runner with a lot of versatility. I Things to be a great fit for him he won’t be going far from University of Georgia. Although there are intriguing running back prospects I do believe that Swift could be the first running backs selected here at pick number 26. If the Miami Dolphins do indeed go and get a quarterback with their top-five pick or even trade up higher. They will need a running back at the end of day one. I do not see an offense that needs a runner like this as much as Miami. Who will get their young back of the future with Swift here.
Kennth Murray – Oklahoma
Best Fit: Baltimore Ravens (14-2) #28 Pick:
Kennth Murray is a top linebacker prospect in a draft class where premier linebackers may not be available. The Ravens could get a stud here in Kenneth Murray. At the combine Kenneth Murray had a lot of buzz about his performance. The Ravens would be the best pick here for him due to the fact he has voiced that this is a place he would like to go. He has watched Ray Lewis tape before every football game. The Ravens missed C.J Mosley last season despite being one of the best teams in the league. The Ravens have traded up in the past to go and get their guy and I believe they could for Murray as well. The Oklahoma product is a versatile linebacker and a great tackler. The Ravens have built their franchise around the idea for a linebacker to be their quarterback on defense. This would certainly be the #1 spot for Murray to succeed.
