Andy Repeat Reid Spoils the Buccaneers Home Game:
Both teams are ready as Sunday approaches, and as we all know, Superbowl 55 will be in Tampa Bay. This marks the first time a city hosting the Superbowl will have their home team playing in the game. The opposing Chiefs come into this game as the reigning champions. Andy Reid, Eric Beinemy, and Steve Spagnuolo have been here before when the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers last season. They have been here before, experience can make all the difference in a game like this. Tom Brady comes into his 10th Superbowl appearance. Of Brady’s nine appearances in the Superbowl, he has won six and lost three. Of those three losses, only one was by more than one possession. The take here is that the Chiefs will repeat and win this game handsomely by more than one score. Tom Brady likes to keep it close but it won’t be enough for this high powered Chiefs offense. (I would edit this, I was a little unsure what your saying. Are you saying Brady is losing this by more than one possession? Making it his second? Because then own below you say at least one possession)Kansas City’s offense can save them in the big game with a high scoring outing. Kansas City will repeat as Champions. This team is hungry for a repeat, and they have the tools. From Patrick Mahomes at the helm of the offense; to his surrounding offensive unit with the speedy Tyreek Hill and the always dominant Travis Kelce. The Chiefs will come in as an offensive threat and win this game by more than one possession, despite the formidable pass rush and the high paced offense in the opposing Tampa Bay team. Mahomes magic will be on full display in Super Bowl 55. Andy Reid will get his repeat and maybe a triple cheeseburger this time around because it may not be as close as we think.
Sean Murphy-Bunting keeps his Playoff INT Streak Alive:
We have seen some incredible performances from Tampa Bay’s defensive unit, not just in the regular season but especially in the playoffs. One player who has not been discussed enough is second-year corner Sean Murphy-Bunting. Murphy-Bunting will continue this incredible interception streak and notch another one in the biggest stage. He’s already gotten three interceptions in three playoff games after having only one interception the whole season. It’s an impressive feat but this week, he goes up against Patrick Mahomes while also dealing with covering Tyreek Hill all game. Thanks to Murphy-Bunting, opposing quarterbacks Taylor Heinicke, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers have all thrown the ball to him, allowing the Tampa Bay offense to take over. Now we have the chance to see him go up against one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Patrick Mahomes. The Buccaneers can get pressure on this Kansas City passing offense and give him that opportunity so he can continue this insane interception steak.
Buccaneers Sack Patrick Mahomes 5+ Times:
Speaking of the Buccaneers getting pressure, they showed that they can use their defensive pass rush to shut down an offense. We saw them do this two weeks ago against a Green Bay Packers team whose offense was the highest-scoring in the league. Five sacks last week from this Buccaneers defense shows that they are bringing the blitz heavily. Jason Pierre- Paul was able to get two sacks last week, along with three sacks from Shaquill Barrett. Barrett posted eight sacks on the year, Pierre-Paul led the team in the regular season with nine and a half sacks, but they are hungry in the playoffs. We saw what they could do against a strong team with their starting offensive tackles out. Tampa Bay will get five or more sacks against Patrick Mahomes. Despite believing Mahomes will have a reliable performance in this contest. Injuries to the offensive line for Kansas City are problematic. Factor in that Devin White and Levonte David will be covering Travis Kelce, and this Tampa defense holds receivers well, will help the pass rush get after Mahomes. Devin White posted an impressive nine sacks from the middle linebacker position. White was a force this season with 140 total tackles, and 16 Qb hits. His versatility will give the surrounding players opportunities to penetrate this offensive line of Kansas City. Along with playmakers like Vita Veawho can take on two interior blockers allowing for more single pass protection on theTampa offensive line. Ndamukong Suh will be disruptive as always as he posted six sacks himself and 44 solo tackles, and maybe even rookie safety Antoine Winfeild Jr. will get a sack as he was able to get three in his rookie campaign. They have plenty of opportunities to get to Mahomes and plenty of playmakers at their disposal.
