1 Jacksonville Jaguars (1-15):
Selection: Trevor Lawrence, Clemson, QB
After winning their first game of the season, the Jacksonville Jaguars failed to win a game for the remainder of the season. While they currently have Gardner Minshew on the roster. Trevor Lawrence is a once in a decade talent the Jaguars do not want to miss the opportunity to take him here with the first selection.
2 New York Jets (2-14):
Selection: Penei Sewell, Oregon, OT
If the Jets are rolling with Sam Darnold next season, they may want to get him some protection. This No. 2 overall pick puts them in a great position to get a sure fire franchise player in Penei Sewell. Sewell opted out of the 2020 after a stellar 2019 campaign. He is only 20 years old and has some of the cleanest pass block techniques of any Tackle in recent years.
3 Miami Dolphins via Houston Texans (4-12):
Selection: Jamarr Chase, LSU, WR
Ja’ Marr Chase. when Ja’Marr Chase was apart of the 2019 LSU National Championship team. He showed that he was one of the most pristine route runners in recent years. The Dolphins added Will Fuller in free agency and have two first round picks. I believe they use this pick on one of my favorite receivers to come out of college in years.
4 Atlanta Falcons (4-12):
Selection: Zach Wilson, BYU, QB
Atlanta may not have a need for a quarterback.. just yet, however Zach Wilson could be one to develop for the near future. The Falcons have many needs but with division opponent Buccaneers just winning the Super Bowl the Falcons may want to take this safe pick for the long term.
5 Cincinnati Bengals (4-11-1):
Selection: Rashawn Slater, North Western, OT
It would be a crime if the Bengals did not select a tackle after they made the investment in Joe Burrow with the first pick last draft. Slater could be a top teir guard at the next level. The Bengals would get the second best tackle in the draft and fill a major need on this offensive line.
6 Philadelphia Eagles (4-11-1):
Selection: Kyle Pitts, Florida , TE
After Pitts ran a blazing 4.46 at the combine the 20 year old Florida Tight End Kyle Pitts will he selected here to the Philadelphia eagles to replace a Zach Ertz. Who will be traded. I believe that Pitts has the time to develop on a team still figuring out their next steps and providing new your QB Jalen Hurts with a new speedy tight end.
7 Detroit Lions (5-11):
Selection: Devonte Smith, Alabama, WR
After the departure of Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones leaves this Lions team without a definite top target outside of TE T.J Hockenson. Give this team the heisman Trophy winner out of Alabama. Giving new Quarterback Jared Goff a great possession receiver in Smith.
8 Carolina Panthers (5-11):
Selection: Trey Lance, North Dakota State University, QB
Matt Rhule wants a QB who can develop over the next five years of his contract. I am starting to believe the Panthers trade up for a quarterback in the draft. I believe in getting Tra Lance they get a versatile player that makes the backfield with him and Christian McCaffrey incredibly dangerous for years to come.
9 Denver Broncos (5-11):
Selection: Caleb Farley Virginia Tech CB
The Virginia Tech corner and back trend continues. As does the Denver Broncos carousel at the corner back position. I believe after obtaining Kyle Fuller they will want to lock up the opposite side of the field with another dangerous man cover corner in Farley.
10 Dallas Cowboys (6-10):
Selection: Micah Parsons, Penn State, LB
Michah Parsons falls down to ten which is low but due to a high quarterback wave Jerry Jones takes the best player available her. Giving the Dallas Cowboys yet another tackling machine on this defense along with Leighton Vander Esch.
11 New York Giants (6-10):
Selection: Kwitney Paye, Michigan, EDGE
With the departure of Dalvin Tomlinson, the Giants defensive line will now move Dexter Lawrence into that position and have Leonard Williams on one end. The Giants go and get a full on edge rusher in Paye to add more pressure. His 6’4, 270LB frame will be very intriguing to Giants GM Dave Gettleman who believes games are won in the trenches
12 San Fransisco 49ers (6-10)
Selection: Patrick Surtain Alabama CB
Richard Sherman and Jason Verrett signing one year deals makes it hard to see them going for another position long term. They are set at almost everything. Especially with the way this team is building for the long term. Surtain would benefit being in this defense
13 Los Angeles Chargers (7-9):
Selection: Jaylen Waddle Alabama WR
The biggest issue teams have with Waddle would be his injury in the past season. This Chargers team has a supporting cast where there would be no pressure for Waddle to start right away. I do not believe Justin Herbert would complain having him added to his arsenal of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
14 Minnesota Vikings (7-9):
Selection: Christian Darrisaw Virginia Tech OT
Christian Darrisaw is one of the cleanest tackles in the draft. I Vikings need to address this offensive line and have a developmental player who can play tackle. Darrisaw is a great run blocker and would be a pristine part of this offensive line in front of Dalvin Cook for years to come.
15 New England Patriots (7-9):
Selection: Mac Jones Alabama QB
Cam Newton and Jared Sitham are not the answer in New England. I think we got enough of that last season. We also got an incredible season from Alabama quarterback Mac Jones who has really raised his stock over this past year. I believe a year behind Cam Newton Mac Jones could be the guy in New England
16 Arizona Cardinals (8-8):
Selection: Jaycee Horn South Carolina CB
Horn has some of the best man cover tape in the draft. What he was able to do in the SEC is impressive. With the departure of Patrick Peterson the Arizona Cardinals will need their next franchise quarterback and they make that choice here with Horn.
17 Las Vegas Raiders (8-8):
Selection: Alijah Vera-Tucker USC OT
The Raiders got rid of Rodney Hudson and Trent Brown this off-season. They were the teams top offensive lineman and they signed Kenyan Drake. I believe that they need more help than they can get with this pic so they take the top tackle in Vera-Tucker
18 Miami Dolphins: (10-6):
Selection: Gregory Rousseau Miami EDGE
Rousseau is a raw prospect and after not playing last season like many of the top prospects he will have something to prove after a big 2019 campaign. The Dolphins have kept their eyes on him. He will be a part of this defensive line they are building down in Miami and help Brian Flores replace Kyle Van Noy.
19 Washington Football Team: (7-9):
Selection: Jalen Mayfeild Michigan OT
We saw the Washington football team be active pairing Curtis Samuel with former Buckeye Terry McLaurin. Now I believe they want to protect whoever they have throwing to him. Jaylen Mayfield is a very safe pick here at 19 and they may have missed an opportunity to get their franchise QB this helps second year running back Antonio Gibson.
20 Chicago Bears (8-8)
Selection: Creed Humphrey Oklahoma C
The Bears did not address the offensive line in free agency and need whoever is snapping the ball to either Andy Dalton or Nick Foles next year will keep them upright. Humphrey will help provide the Bears with protection for both their single callers and David Montgomery in the backfield. In a year of questionable calls, the Bears need to make a safe pick here.
21 Indianapolis Colts: (11-5):
Selection: Trevon Moehrig TCU S
The court will move on from former first round pick Malik Hooker in the near future. One thing this Colts team always does is ensure their future for the positions of need. Moehrig is the best safety in the draft and he goes here to add to one of the leagues best defenses.
22 Tennessee Titans (11-5)
Selection: Kadarius Toney Florida WR
After the departure of former top five pick Corey Davis and tight end Jonnu Smith in free agency. Tennessee Titans are going to want to support this offense with a receiver that can truly stretch the field in Toney. Giving Ryan Tannehill the second passing threat and making the Titans offense that much more dangerous.
23 New York Jets via Seattle Seahawks (12-4)
Selection: Nick Bolton Missouri LB
The Jets will select for the second time in the first round. After getting a top tackle at the beginning of this round they get one of the top linebackers in Nick Bolton. Nick Bolton brings a lot of speed and pressure that will support CJ Mosley and he comes back to this Jets defense.
24 Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4):
Selection: Justin Fields, Ohio State, QB
The Steelers are in a transitional period at the moment. After this off-season it seems as though this will be big Ben’s last year in Pittsburgh. They take Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields who falls due to injury and pro readiness and gets a year under Ben to become the future Pittsburgh quarterback.
25 Jacksonville Jaguars via LA Rams (12-4):
Selection: Christian Baremore Alabama DT
The Jacksonville jaguars have many needs they were allowed to address them in free agency. Defensive tackle is still a big one. As Urban Meyer now takes the top defense of tackle in the class, he uses this second pick to stop the running back heavy division of the AFC South.
26 Cleveland Browns (11-5):
Selection: Rondale Moore Purdue WR
After Rondale Moore’s pro day. He officially moves into the first round consideration. After a 4.2 40-Yard Dash has shown in the past he may even go higher. You add Moore in the slot to an offense with weapons such as Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr. and Austin Hooper. Adding another explosive receiver to this unit with Baker Mayfield. It would be a scary group.
27 Baltimore Ravens (11-5):
Selection: Teven Jenkins Oklahoma St. OT
Orlando Brown Jr. is on his way out and the Ravens will have Ronnie Stanley coming back from injury. They take the top run blocker in Jenkins who shines in a lot of tape creating holes in the run game. Which just screams Baltimore offense, this team wants someone physical and they got em here!
28 New Orleans Saints (12-4):
Selection: Jerimiah Owusu-Koramoah Notre Dame OLB
While I may have Owusu-Koramoah lower than many other people I still believe he can be an absolute force off the edge. This New Orleans defense is going to be missing Trey Hendrickson and his 13 1/2 sacks. They fill that hole here with one of the best outside linebackers in the draft.
29 Green Bay Packers (13-3):
Selection: Jamin Davis Kentucky LB
Jamin Davis is flying up draft boards and its not hard to see why when you put the tape on. He is physical, and covers the whole field very well. When he drops back into coverage he turns into a ball hawk, when he has to stop the run; nothing will stop him from getting there. Packers get a solid MLB after missing Kyle Fackrall and Blake Martinez last season
30 Buffalo Bills (13-3):
Selection: Najee Harris Alabama RB
Harris put on an absolute showing last year at Alabama. Enough to prove to me he was worthy of a first round pick. Zack Moss and Devon Singletary are not running back’s that I believe can be the franchises best options at the moment. Harris brings power and speed as well as a great receiving game.
31 Kansas City Chiefs (14-2):
Selection: Aaron Banks Notre Dame OT
This team heavily needs protection even after the Super Bowl prove that a good defense and pass rush can take down some of the best offenses in the game. With the departure of Eric Fisher and Mitchell Shwartz this offseason, this team adds banks to help both in the run game and to protect Patrick Mahomes.
32 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11-5):
Selection: Travis Entienne Clemson RB
With the departure of Leonard Fournette this off-season Travis Entienne goes to the Tampa Bay buccaneers here with the last pick in the first round. The long-term Clemson starter has proved time and time again that he is a reliable running back. His all-around versatility will be very intriguing to Tom Brady and he would be a great fit for this offense.
