Davis Mills – Quarterback, Stanford:
Davis Mills has been slept on due to a small sample size of games. Only playing 14 games over two seasons. In his time as the starter for Stanford he showed an ability to call his own plays at the line, as well as the ability to make throws in tight windows. Watching over his tape he reminds me of Matt Ryan. Mills shows a lot of flexibility and could fit well into many teams offenses as a developmental backup until his time is called. Not many quarterback prospects are this fun to watch on play action plays, showing that at the next level a supportive run game would benefit his play immensely. With a drafts top five quarterbacks to be top ten selections in this draft. Mills could be a day two or day three draft pick that may just be a steal for any teams in need of a quarterback past round one.
14 Games Played 2 Seasons as the starter, 65.5% 3468 yards, 18-8 TD:INT.
2020 Stats: 5 Games, 66.2% 1508 yards, 301.6 YPG, 7- 3 TD:INT.
Ronnie Perkins – Edge Rusher, Oklahoma:
Ronnie Perkins made a mark in his three seasons at Oklahoma. Going into the 2021 Draft there are many pass rushers who present different styles. According to Pro Football Focus Perkins boasts a grade of 90+ in both pass rushing and run stopping ability. He can rush off the edge and even make a move inside to create pockets to make the opposing quarterback uncomfortable on a regular basis. At the next level he will be a disruptive force and reminds me of Bud Dupree with a higher ceiling in overall tackling and pass rushing. Perkins is a star just waiting to shine.
3 seasons played: 32 Games played, 61 Solo Tackles, 98 total tackles, 1 Forced fumble and 16.5 Sacks.
2020 Stats: Six Games 23 Tackles, 10.5 Tackles for Loss, 5.5 Sacks.
Trey Sermon – Running Back, Ohio State:
Sermon is one of the many talented running backs in this draft class, with his experience at both Oklahoma and Ohio State he proved that he is able to get the job done when called upon him. While only playing eight games last season he was able to make his mark on the ground averaging 108.7 YPG on the ground. He will be a great complementary running back in a pro system. He is patient and makes people miss. Sermon was last seen leaving the national championship with an injury which had many scouts questioning his stability. With the right system Sermon can be a stable workhorse back capable of long runs. In the last two full games played he showed out in each. With a 29 rush, 331 yard performance along with two touchdowns against North Western in the Sugar Bowl. His last full game against Clemson he ran 31 times for 193 yards and 1 TD. Sermon is ready for the next level and will be a steal in this draft.
3 seasons at Oklahoma: 339 rushing attempts, 2946 rushing yards, 22 TD’s rushing. 36 receptions, 391 yards, 3 receiving touchdowns.
2020 Stats with Ohio State:
8 Games, 116 rushing attempts, 870 yards, 7.5 Yards per Carry. 4 rushing TD’s. 12 Receptions. 95 yards.
Jevon Holland – Safety, Oregon:
Holland was one of the many players who opted out of the 2020 season. However in his two years as a starter he showed that despite a smaller frame he can make a big impact. Holland brings a ballhawking safety philosophy in which many teams would love to add to their arsenal. Tracks the quarterback very well. Many teams seem to not have a safety high on their list in the first round and Holland in the right system could be a great safety as well as a slot corner. Matching up with the opposing teams slot weapons would create a great matchup. Holland wont be the first safety off the board, but he could have the best career.
2 Seasons as a starter for Oregon *Opted out of 2020 Season:
17 Games played in two seasons 71 solo tackles, 108 total tackles, 10 Passes defended, 9 INTs one of which resulted in his 1 Defensive touchdown.
Kellen Mond – Quarterback, Texas A&M:
A four year starter at Texas A&M, Mond is one of the quarterbacks who may not be in the conversation for a first round selection. However, as the draft approaches and scouts are starting to eye possible late round quarterbacks, Mond has now been talked about more than ever. At 6’3, 217lbs he has a great frame for a quarterback. Playing in the SEC against some of the toughest competition in college football bodes well for his transition to the next level. Mond makes great decisions with his throws and extends plays with his legs. Whichever team takes the chance on the signal caller will be very lucky. Given time to develop, the already pro- ready quarterback in Mond can be a true steal for any team willing to take him in the later rounds. In a draft where analysts have 5 quarterbacks in the top 10 picks, many teams will jump at the chance to take him past the second round.
46 Games Played, 59% Completion %, 71-27 TD-INT, 9661 passing yards. 438 rush attempts, 1609 rushing yards and 22 TD rushing.
2020 Stats: 188-297, 63.3%, 2,282 passing yards, 19- 3 TD- INT
