1. Jacksonville Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence, Clemson, Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars seem to already be warming up to one another with a week and a half remaining until the draft. The top quarterback in this draft and a certified winner, will now have the honor of being the first pick in 2021.
Previous Pick: Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback
2. New York Jets, Zach Wilson, BYU, Quarterback
Zach Wilson is now in the second consecutive mock draft where he will land in New York. Zach Wilson has great versatility and a big arm. Wilsons buzz has been growing the last few weeks and it is looking more than likely he will be the first quarterback of the Robert Saleh era.
Previous Pick: Zach Wilson, Quarterback
3. San Fransisco 49ers From HOU VIA MIA. Justin Fields Ohio State Quarterback
Previous Pick: Trey Lance, QB
Justin Fields will add to an offense that already has a high scoring potential. Feilds will get the transitional time needed for him to not only be a pro ready quarterback but a great one. Adding him to an offense with Raheem Moster, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel gives niners fans a future quarterback when the team moves on from Jimmy G.
4. Atlanta Falcons, Kyle Pitts, Florida, Tight End
A tight end going at the number 4 overall selection may not be ideal; however for the Falcons this pick give them a third weapon to Matt Ryan. Adding Pitts speed and mismatching ability alongside Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones for years to come seems almost too good for Atlanta unless they want to pick a quarterback of the future.
Previous Pick: Justin Fields, QB
5. Cincinnati Bengals, Jamarr Chase, LSU, Wide Receiver
Previous Pick: Penei Sewell, OT
The narrative of a Joe Burrow and Jamarr Chase reunion is looking more likely. While in the past mocks the Bengals have prioritized the protection of Burrow. Giving him a top weapon to go along side Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins will make this offense into a legitimate threat. In a division with the Ravens and Browns who boast high powered offenses, Chase will give the Bengals that extra edge for years to come. One of my favorite players in this draft and a certified pro ready receiver.
6. Miami Dolphins From Philadelphia Devonta Smith, Alabama, Wide Receiver
Previous Pick: Jamarr Chase, WR
College quarterback and receiver reunions continue here in back to back picks as former Alabama Stars Tua Tagovailoa and Devonta Smith will create a pass threat combo which Miami desperately needs. Smith is a fantastic route runner and will be a great complement to a team that just added Will fuller this offseason.
7. Detriot Lions, Micah Parsons, Penn State, Linebacker
Previous Pick: Devonta Smith, WR
Detroit has many needs to fill, however here they take the best player available here. Parsons is a natural all around talented linebacker and shows it on every play. With a new regime in place in Detriot they need to have the mentality to add leaders like Parsons to this defense.
8 Carolina Panthers, Penei Sewell, Oregon, Offensive Tackle
Previous Pick: Michah Parsons, LB
While I am incredibly high on Sewell, however with the high demand for quarterbacks and the recent Sam Darnold trade, the Panthers have to prioritize protecting their new quarterback as well as their star running back coming off an injury filled 2020 in Christian McCaffery. Sewell could be the next franchise left tackle in Carolina.
9 Denver Broncos Trey Lance NDSU Quarterback
Previous Pick: Mac Jones, QB
The Broncos find themselves in a situation in this mock draft in a scenario where they can choose between two of the top 5 quarterbacks in this draft. Drew Lock unfortunately does not look like the long term answer and the weapons already in place on this team would give Trey Lance a great transition into the NFL.
10 New England Patriots ***TRADE up from 15*** Cowboys Mac Jones Alabama Quarterback
Previous Pick for New England : Greg Rousseau, DE
First mock draft trade results in the Patriots trading up as the trend for New England seems to have them headed in that direction. Mac Jones would give Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels a quarterback of the future in Mac Jones. They would need to prioritize building around him. This trade on Dallas’ side is many think they are targeting Kyle Pitts, who has gone in this scenario.
11 New York Giants Jaylen Waddle Alabama Wide Receiver
Previous Pick: Kwity Pate, EDGE
A prospect with a very high upside and some of the fastest feet in this draft. The Joe Judge and Nick Sabin connection is there and so are the receivers. As the Giants have Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayon on the roster, Waddle would not be pressured to work back from his injury too soon. The 2021 Season is slowly becoming the season for the Giants to give quarterback Daniel Jones the weapons he needs to succeed.
12 Philadelphia Eagles from SF via MIA Patrick Surtain II Alabama Cornerback
Previous Pick: Kyle Pitts, TE
The Eagles could use another weapon on offense but at this point in the draft they are in a position to take the top corner in Patrick Surtain. After pass coverage was a problem in the 2020 season, the Eagles need to use this pick to lock up in a division with Kenny G, Amari Cooper and Terry McLaurin all coming to face them twice a year.
13 LA Chargers Christian Darrisaw Virginia Tech Offensive Tackle
Previous Pick: Rashawn Slater, OT
Darrisaw is a mauler and will be a great addition to a team in need of youth on the offensive line. With a class stacked with naturally talented offensive linemen the Chargers add great size for their young quarterback Justin Herbert.
14. Minnesota Vikings Rashawn Slater Northwestern Offensive Tackle
Previous Pick: Christian Darrisaw, OT
Three mock drafts and three offensive linemen for Minnesota. The Vikings would love to utilize this deep offensive line class to their advantage for the run game in Dalvin Cook as well as the overall protection of quarterback Kirk Cousins. Slater is will add great youth to this offensive line and will develop into a great run blocker. If Slater is put at guard as a rookie he will be a future pro-bowler.
15. Cowboys **Trade with Patriots moved from** Gregory Rousseau Miami Defensive End
Previous Pick for Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain
With the Cowboys moving back to this spot in the mock trade they prioritize the defense and take Miami defensive end Greg Rousseau. The Cowboys desperately need a pass rusher opposite of Demarcus Lawrence. They get the top defensive lineman who we last saw get 15.5 sacks in 2019.
16. Arizona Cardinals Caleb Farley Virginia Tech Cornerback
Previous Pick: Jaycee Horn, CB
Farley is on his way back up draft boards after a positive result from his back surgery. After Arizona spent this offseason prioritizing positions of need they are in need of a top corner since Patrick Peterson departed this offseason. Farley has to be one of the cleanest corners in this draft and would be a great addition to the Cardinals secondary which includes Buddha Baker.
17. Pittsburgh Steelers ***Trade***Las Vegas Raiders Najee Harris Alabama Running Back
This trade scenario comes as the Steelers organization has voiced they want to get a running back early in this draft. Harris is the top running back with all of his talent, it could add to an offense in desperate need of a work horse. Miami is in need of a running back and the Steelers can not afford to miss out on Harris. The trade allows them to jump up for a running back and Las Vegas gets more picks in a draft with deep offensive linemen which they desperately need.
Previous Pick for Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris
18 Miami Dolphins Creed Humphrey Oklahoma Center
The Dolphins have a need to build this offensive line and many picks. Since they were able to get a weapon in Smith now more protection in Humphrey. Expect the Dolphins to look for running backs with their second round picks as well.
Previous Pick: Jeremiah Owusu- Koramoah, LB
19 Washington Football Team Kadarius Toney Florida Wide Receiver
Toney is a very special player. The wide receivers in this draft all are special in their own way. Toney has the top talent in his run after catch ability. With Washington in need of a Wide Receiver across from Terry McLaurin, giving whichever quarterback starts this upcoming season a full arsenal of weapons. Toney showed in his time in Florida that he can be a plug and play weapon and run almost every route in the book.
Previous Pick: Rondale Moore, WR
20 Chicago Bears Rondale Moore Purdue Wide Receiver
Chicago and star receiver Allen Robinson will depart ways most likely this offseason, whether or not that happens this team needs a receiver that can stretch the field. Moore is a special player when it comes to his speed and his stop and go ability. Andy Dalton will need a guy who he can look for with a deep ball and Moore is the guy here in this mock.
Previous Pick: Jaylen Waddle, WR
21 Indianapolis Colts Alijah Vera -Tucker USC Offensive Tackle
The Colts pride themselves on protecting their run game and quarterback with a talented offensive line. After the departure of Anthony Costanzo this offseason due to retirement. Adding Vera- Tucker to this offense will only make this team more dangerous.
Previous Pick: Caleb Farley, CB
22 Tennessee Titans Christian Barmore Alabama Defensive Tackle
Previous Pick: Jayson Oweh, EDGE
The Titans defense would love to pair a runstopper in a defense with the disruptive Bud Dupree and Jeffery Simmons, we find our first defensive tackle off the board with Christian Barmore. This team could use another receiving weapon as well however they may want to address the run stopping defense with having to play the Colts twice a season.
23 New York Jets via Seattle Seahawks Trevon Moehrig TCU Safety
Jets use the pick in which they traded away Jamal Adams a year ago to now select the top safety in this draft. Moehrig is a versatile safety in a draft where the position is being overlooked. The Jets need help in the secondary and now have a chance to use the second of their many picks rerr
Previous Pick: Jamin Davis, LB
24 Raiders***TRADE*** From Pittsburgh Kwity Paye Michigan Edge
Raiders always shake it up in the draft and have to to be year in and year out the most unpredictable franchise in the NFL. However here they have one of the top edge rushers In this draft, Paye has an incredible story and a fantastic set of college tape to watch. He is electric off the edge and will add to the Raiders pass rush that just lost two pieces in Maurice Hurst and Arden Key.
Previous Pick for Las Vegas Raiders: Alijah Vera- Tucker, OT
25 Jacksonville Jaguars via LA Rams Jaycee Horn South Carolina Cornerback
After using one of their selections from trading away Jalen Ramsey on Florida cornerback C.J Henderson in the 2020 NFL Draft. As well as selection of Trevor Lawrence with the first pick in this draft. They take the best player available and get another lockdown secondary player in Jacksonville in Jaycee Horn. A lockdown man to man corner who brings it on all three downs
Previous Pick: Teven Jenkins, OT
26 Cleveland Browns Rashod Bateman Minnesota Wide Receiver
Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry look great on paper and a good portion of the time they look good on the field. They would look even better with a threat like Bateman, this Browns offense is high powered and Bateman is one of the incredibly talented weapons and this would make them favorites in the AFC North.
Previous Pick: Jalen Phillips, EDGE
27 Baltimore Ravens Jerimiah Owusu- Koramoah Notre Dame Linebacker
Koramoah is a prototype Baltimore Ravens athletic linebacker. His speed from sideline to sideline will be a pro for a long time he is long and has natural tackling ability will play well into a division where this Ravens defense will have to play against strong running games in the Bengals and Browns twice a year.
Previous Pick: Rashod Bateman, WR
28 New Orleans Saints Teven Jenkins Oklahoma State Offensive Tackle
Previous Pick: Terrence Marshall Jr.
Jenkins would provide great support in both the run and passing game. With a team like the Saints going through a quarterback competition they will need to have a tackle to support them and give them more time in the pocket. The addition of Jenkins will be incredibly beneficial to Alvin Kamara.
29 Green Bay Packers Jamin Davis Kentucky Linebacker
Previous Pick: Landon Dickerson, C
The Packers get a middle linebacker after losing their main tackler in Blake Martinez last offseason. Davis will be a great tackler for this packers defense. With 100+ Tackles last season only playing in 10 games. His aggressiveness shows each and every play. He would match well in coverage and help support a team in a division with Deandre Swift, David Montgomery and Dalvin Cook.
30. Buffalo Bills, Travis Etienne, Clemson, Running Back
Previous Pick: Greg Newsome II, CB
The Bills would love to get their next great running back in this first round before they get caught losing out on some of the top talent expected to go early in the second round. Etienne would add an all around purpose back for Josh Allen. Buffalo drafted C.J Spiller years ago out of Clemson and have not had a running back since then to that caliber. Etienne gives them that chance to balance their offense that already features a prime passing attack.
31. Kansas City Chiefs, Jaylen Mayfield, Michigan, Offensive Tackle
Previous Pick: Jalen Mayfield, OT
Mayfield stays back to back in mock drafts due to him being the highest rated offensive lineman remaining, and offensive line being the top priority for Kansas City as they must protect their franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes and last years first round pick Clyde Edwards- Helaire.
32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Landon Dickerson, Alabama, Center
Previous Pick: Travis Etienne, RB.
Tampa adds the top center to their already talented offensive line. Dickerson is capable of playing center and both guard positions. This would benefit to protect Tom Brady and the run game in Leonard Fournette. The champs add a national champion in the overall top interior lineman in this draft in Landon Dickerson.
